This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit our site, the data generated is processed on IONOS servers. We have a data processing agreement with IONOS in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you access the website, the server automatically stores information transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, page visited, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. We need this data to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is not combined with other data and is automatically deleted after a short time.
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise it by the “https://” and the padlock icon in your browser. This means data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.
If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone, we process your details (e.g. name, company, email address, phone number, project type and message) to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise our legitimate interest in handling requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The form data is sent to us by email. We delete it once your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply, for example under commercial or tax law.
We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking or analytics on this website. Technically necessary cookies may be set, for example for administrators logging in to the back end. This is not relevant for visitors.
This site uses fonts stored locally on our own server. No connection to Google or other providers is made to load them.
On some pages we embed videos from YouTube. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use the privacy-enhanced mode. A connection to YouTube is only established once you start a video. YouTube may then process data such as your IP address and set cookies. Data may also be transferred to the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our work attractively (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We link to our profiles on Instagram and LinkedIn. These are simple links, not embedded plugins. Data is only transferred to the respective provider when you click the link and open the network’s page. The privacy policy of the respective provider applies there.
You have the right at any time to access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. A short email to sascha@oktopus-media.com is enough.

We only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or required by statutory retention periods. You are not obliged to provide us with data. Without contact details, however, we cannot answer your request. There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
